The historic Neolithic sites of Avebury Stone Circle, Windmill Hill, Silbury Hill and West Kennet Long Barrow are a short walk or drive away. Avebury Manor, the subject of the BBC programme, 'To the Manor Reborn', is open and managed like the rest of the Avebury site by the National Trust.

Almost opposite us is the historic Waggon and Horses pub built in 1669 and used by Charles Dickens as a model for his description of a pub in his book "Pickwick Papers". Our guests receive a 15% discount on food and drink on meals taken there.

About 5 minutes drive away, east of us, on the A4 main road to Marlborough, is the Bell at West Overton which is the place to be for a gastronomic treat.

If you are wanting a superb view of corn circles, the Wiltshire Microlight Centre is close by, 2 miles to the west on the A4 main road.
